The Arrogant Worms
Canada’s favourite musical
comedy trio pays tribute to the town of its birth with a new album
recorded live at the Kingston Brewing
Company. Says the Worms' Trevor Strong: "It was decided
that, for the sake of art, the Worms would sacrifice themselves by
spending a week at their favourite pub where they would rehearse and
perform three shows. The Brew Pub (as it is known to those who know
things) was one of the Worms' first regular gigs, and it showed just
how far
we'd come that, seventeen years later, we were still playing there.”

Michael
Jerome Browne
Renowned for his soulful,
authentic performances of music
derived from the American South, and for his encyclopedic knowledge of
his
chosen genres, Michael Jerome Browne has earned three Juno nominations
for
three distinctly different recording projects: one acoustic blues, one
country
blues and one old-time.
Noww
Browne is turning his attention to yet another facet of Americana
with This Beautiful Mess, a toast to
the bluesy mix of soul and country
that flourished in the 1950s and 60s - the style of music captured on
recordings by artists like Charlie Rich, Ray Charles and Solomon Burke.
